Southwest Dane County Outreach
The Mount Horeb Senior Center is a facility whose goal is to provide Case Management and Nutrition services and resources for people 60+, to keep them living independently and safely in their own homes or apartments.
They serve seniors in the Village of Mount Horeb and Blue Mounds, and the Towns of Blue Mounds, Perry, Primrose and Springdale. They are one of 15 agencies under Dane County Human Services and the Area Agency on Aging.
Congregate and home delivered meals are served Monday through Friday at 11:15am. Reservations are needed by 1:00pm the day before the meal.
We offer blood pressure and foot clinics, supportive home chore services, immunization clinics, energy services, hearing evaluations, nutrition and wellness education, cards, musical entertainment, lunch outings, shopping trips, movies, darts, and a monthly newsletter.
Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS)
Since 1977, DAIS has worked passionately and effectively to ensure the safety and well-being of domestic violence survivors and their families, and to change societal attitudes that perpetuate violence and the abuse of power.
Hazardous Waste Disposal
Dane County Clean Sweep provides an opportunity for residents of Madison and Dane County to safely dispose of hazardous waste.
