Dane County Erosion Control and Storm water Management has issued a notice stating that the following activities may require a permit:

1. Dredging an agricultural drainage ditch
2. Taking out a fenceline and cropping the area
3. Grubbing stumps along a field boundary or in a field
4. Putting land in production that was not cropped in the recent past
5. Placing new tile or expanding a drain tile system in any way
6. Redoing a grassed waterway without the design and oversight of LCD staff
